they asked for funny, not tragic

it’s quite literally technically impossible to detect ai gens with more certainty than a coinflip.
Even worse with text gens
Fun fact: that’s Elijah Wood and it’s his first film role
As I haven’t seen this mentioned so far: Be sure that you both learn the language.
Seen a lot of posts in other immigration heavy subs/communities where people move to europe and don’t make any effort on learning the local language, and then are surprised/depressed that they can’t find any friends or jobs
the thing is: the employer has absolutely 0 say on if a person is sick or not. If a doctor says a person can’t work: that’s it. The company 0 in the matter.
In fact, the company isn’t even allowed to ask why a person is sick. An official note from the doctor is all that matters
Abolutely necessarily.
it works like this:
@privateuser@mastodon.example.com
has a “followers only account”.@someuser@pixelfed.example.com
is a friend of above account, requested access and was granted. This now causes mastodon.example.com
to push all messages of @privateuser
to pixelfed.example.com
.@anotheruser@pixelfed.example.com
requests access, but gets ignored. But the pixelfed instance marks the user as “follows @privateuser
”@someuser
, the messages are shown as expected.@anotheruser
, they are also shown. Because PF basically does a database “select messages of users that the user follows”, without checking if the access was ever granted.Important to note, that this would not happen, if the messages weren’t already pushed to the server due to the “allowed” user
elaborate
ActivityPub is a half-assed unfinished mess.
tried working on my own service and figured this one out very fast.
It’s amazing that it works at all. 98% of the stuff is not documented at all. and the stuff that is, can hardly be called documentation.
Not if we go butlerian jihad on them first
They work. As long as people make sure that the top knows that the alternative are guillotines
Looks very similar to a stew I sometimes make: https://www.budgetbytes.com/african-peanut-stew-vegan/
The site in general has a lot of great recipes
that’s the problem. you can’t really, without opening the image.
But so far, it doesn’t really appear to be a problem
the problem with this potential issue (if it indeed is one) is, that you don’t need to reply. just opening the DM is enough
fwiw I got the exact image URL in a DM a couple minutes ago. so at least they are not mapping the uuid of the image to a DMd fedi user
That’s a great write-up!
but with AI you can not know even faster. So efficient
I had issues in like… 2010 or so. But not for about a decade
