But those are just niche applications. For something serious it’s not really usable so far.

Big businesses these days are staffed through nepotism instead of meritocracy. The ones working for free are actually competent.

We just need to invent space construction, cheap fusion power, autonomous robotics, improve AI and set up astroid mining first, then it’ll be a snap.

Because apparently that‘s a normal thing to assume in our society.

It’s just very difficult to think outside of society , to think of a working society without the organizing power of money and labor. And even more difficult to think about the path to get there.

Faking personal interest as a ritual greeting between business types. It’s about as real as the greasy laughter they use for each other’s often misogynistic tinted jokes when the managers gather.

I’m more afraid of the AI propped stock market collapsing and sending us in a decade of financial ruin for the majority of people. Yeah, they’ll do bailouts but that won’t go to the bottom 80%. Most people will welcome an AGI for president at this stage.

A great time for those that didn’t replace their people with AI to take some market share. China and Europe for example.

Those are exactly the three stages of enshittification:

• Provide nice and useful platform to draw in users

• Once there is a critical mass of users locked in, start with the ads and monetization to draw in the corporations

• Get companies locked in, squeeze them for everything until the platform dies
