It’s fun once you get all your stuff working and know what you’re doing. Even then it can be a challenge at times. I started in 1998 with suse Linux and it was just a brag back then.

Playing on a windows gaming laptop with the engine.ini fix … Hardware lumen settings affect crash frequency… if I have it maxed there are some areas that are so “sparkly” the game will gracefully crash with an error send option. Also the nights of the nine bug is still present where you go to all 9 shrines but you only show 8 so you have to find an alternate shrine to complete the quest.
Leave Reddit.
There’s an engine.ini file on Nexus that greatly improves performance. I’ve been using it for a few days on my gaming laptop with settings pretty much maxed and find it more than acceptable. The game has crashed 3 or 4 times though … Not sure if related.
I run a pi hole and use my laptop (Linux) connected to a projector. No hassle.
Wiped out my 13 years of posts and comments and deleted my account when they started this crap. I thought the day they killed old reddit would be when I left but I can’t stand by while they censor free speech. The site has been a shit pile for some time though and not even a ghost of what it was in the good old days.
Clone your drive first and then no matter what happens you have a quick click to restore. I’ve run dual boots on multiple distros for years and you learn a whole lot when things go wrong.
I tried a Chrome plugin that had the limitation of 50 comments / posts a day but required money to do more. I had the day off, so I ended up doing it manually. Was a real trip seeing all the comments and stuff I’d forgotten about from all those years ago when Reddit was still a cool place and people were mostly cool.
They won’t get their heads out of their asses. This recent censorship caused me to delete 13 years of comments and posts and delete my account entirely. Good riddance.
13 years and change here and yesterday I did the deed of hand deleting my years of comments and posts - wiped out my RES settings - deleted my account and that’s it. Big time nostalgia going back through all those comments though,
I started deleting saved posts and comments today - planning to delete my account when that’s all done.
Can I ask you what scrubber you used?
Don’t let leftover rice go over 3 days in the fridge (pasta too) without freezing. I dunno if you watch chubbyemu on YouTube but he’s a doctor who covers cases where people get really messed up or die by incidents like food poisoning or other. It’s a great watch and after seeing the rice one we throw it out after 2 days.
I see your point … Fear of retribution through the FCC is now a real thing. This is how it begins though - first they ban free speech and any dissent and then the ones that still stand up will be disappeared.
Every once in a great while the people of Reddit do the right thing and I’m proud of every one of them that took a stand. Even the BBC is calling it an awkward gesture and they aren’t owned by right wing billionaires in the US. Not ONE media news org here has called the obvious. Sanewashing. Wish I’d never heard the term.
They are far too stupid and disorganized to create.
Pray I don’t alter it further.
