One of the contributors was in a country that the USA likes to bully with sanctions.

What is it you don’t understand, perhaps I can guide you.
Do you have any technical knowledge? Like navigating systems or any programming experience?
I only ask those as if yes, then watching a couple of videos about docker-compose should be sufficient. Once you have an understanding of what it does you can rely on the docs more then.
Even asking ChatGPT for an example docker-compose file for what you want would be a great start.
I see no Classical is that right?
Same. We even had a music store in the UK, called Music Zone, this place would let you buy a CD and if you didn’t like it you could return it and get a refund and then rinse and repeat.
As for parents. Mine had no clue what I was doing on the computer, but even when they learned due to all the people coming to the door, they were pretty chill.
It got bad when our ISP would charge us for excessive downloads.
Why shhhhh?
Thanks. I went for a used Grade A from the site the other person recommended, Robert’s Electronics, the reviews seemed decent it they give 5 years warranty. £118
I just need to get 4 for my initial goal but heard it’s better to spread them out for failures. Plus it’s easier on the wallet to spread them out 😂
Thanks this looks ok and reasonably priced. It does say ships from Singapore but it’s free shipping.
This is what annoys me about how trash search is these days. I’ve been searching for HHDs for days and not seen anything but the same few dozen sites.
Same when using Amazon, not to buy from but as a listing, and you put 10TB and you’ll see a few sponsored for 6TB. Like I don’t fucking want a 6TB else I woulda searched that.
I decided to go with Cloudflare. Thanks for the rec.
This is very helpful. Thanks.
Great. Thanks for this as I can now look for ones that has that option.
This has the most upvotes so far so checked it out first.
I’m at the basket stage but don’t see an option to not add my details to the public database like I did on names.co.uk. Do you know if that’s an option.
I wonder why we have to have registrars or to put it better I wonder why a person can’t buy a domain for life and own it.
Registrar. That’s the term. Thanks.
I’ll check out their pricing.
Do you know if they still have to share you details as who owns the domain? Not that I’m up to anything sinister, just will be for a home server but still nice for anonymity and places like names.co.uk charge more for hiding those details.
I really do hope we hear from him. I find it nice that he has communicated with so many of us in this thread and I hope he learns that people are a little concerned.

This looks like they provide hosting services?
I believe a domain name provider are the folk that sell domain names.
That’s a good point I used to see him all the time and chatted with him some.
Last I spoke, in public comments in here, he had completed his move to the UK (where I live too) so perhaps he’s just been busy with all the changes.
Edit: Good on you for asking.
I find this incredibly hard to believe. I suppose it depends on your age but I’m early 40’s and had many of my friends since teenage years. Kinda hard not to learn someone’s surname after that amount of time.
Not to mention I used to be on social media in the early days and so surnames were a thing there.
