My condolences. I don’t even dislike the voice, his attitude just makes him so punchable. You think he’s some kind of expert at first but then it dawns on you that he’s just confidently stupid.

A comment? Am I misreading your comment or is this just ignorance of the situation? Because PirateSoftware made a whole ass video on the subject way back (the one allegedly rife with misinformation). I remember it on my feed when the campaign was getting traction, but didn’t watch it because my view of him was souring.
From what clips I’ve seen*, PirateSoftware misinterprets the majority of what he addressed. Either maliciously or unknowingly, which is why he was blamed for tanking momentum since that video did get a ton of views (before people wised up to him being a total cunt).
*Yes I know the irony of what I just said there after reading your last paragraph. I believe these terminally online streamers because I would not put it past PirateSoftware to be this awful after watching his videos for a small period and then the subsequent controversies coming out.
I believe Space Station 14 fits your criteria exactly if I’m interpreting it correctly. Space Station 13 would as well if not for the fact that player accounts must still be centralized to a server. That server is currently under a cyber attack, which really shows the importance of decentralization (in this instance, I’m not that big a fan of the concept).
Further edit: after reading your other comments, definitely try out either SS13 or 14. I don’t play much these days because server variety has fallen off a cliff but the idea is all sorts of communities pop up with their own server which could deviate heavily from wherever they forked from. This led to all sorts of different playing experiences. Try some out to see if they fit your preferences.
For me it was the original Modern Warfare 3. I played that campaign a lot as a kid, but didn’t have internet back then so no multiplayer and no one to discuss the game with. The story is dumbed down compared to the first two games but it was pure fun and cinematic, every mission was memorable to me.
Like I didn’t even know what the stock exchange was back then, I just thought it was awesome traveling through city ruins fighting invaders.
Also the survival mode was super fun too.
I don’t get why anyone goes to a Starbucks still. If I want aRtiSAn coffee I can still get it cheaper and probably far better quality.
My favorite indulgence is an iced coffee with bananas from Nordstrom (I’m still confused why they went into the coffee business but they are quite successful) and the large cup is still cheaper than what Starbucks offers. I haven’t set foot in one for a couple of years because 7$ for an iced mocha was revolting.
Their iced mocha coffee was all I drank but even the glass bottles they sold in stores I had to stop buying. It’s coffee, not gold!
Not anymore, of course. But nothing beats that brain rot apart from sites that hijack your controls.
Same way you survive live TV. You learn to mentally block out ads.
Always cool seeing Yoruba stuff in media. Just watched the new season of the Castlevania spin off and it features a few different pantheons; Aztec, Yoruba, Voodoo, Egyptian. Ogun was badass and loved him telling his story.
That’s fucking hilarious then.
Is the implication that he made a super insecure program and left the token for his AI thing in the code as well? Or is he actually being hacked because others are coping?
I don’t usually buy the “but it’s ok if the company is American!!!” accusations because no corporation should be abusing your privacy, but I was just sitting here wondering why they think it is suddenly not ok if a foreign company is the one harvesting data.
I remember it being pretty big news when it was revealed, with government agencies making the app forbidden for their employees.
Pick whatever instance to be the main and lock the others. The userbase for Lemmy is still tiny, no reason to split up to discuss TV/film.
Memories awoken.
I don’t use it often but lately it stopped being able to turn off my flashlight for no reason. Can only turn on. I wonder if it’s just to get people to use Gemini. It’s a shame because I found the normal assistant capable enough for my needs.
I would definitely say so. Personally, I’d just not have one. Let them face the consequences of lack of sleep so they know how important it is. I think it’s weird that sleep schedules are never emphasized to teenagers. Probably a lot less sleep deprived teens if they were encouraged to get all the fun done before night hits and then easing into sleepy time.
But not having a set time could also backfire and they end up like I did with only sleeping like 4 hours but getting naps in whenever possible at school. Always surprises me how good the human body is at adapting.
Also the episode explaining Kenny’s respawning.
I don’t get the people shitting on this. It’s a very fair plan. Something I’ve been wishing existed for the past month, even. Like the article states, it’s for people who use YT to watch TV (me).
I just hope there’s a yearly plan to get a little bit more of a discount. Student plan is the same price but no yearly plan, so it comes to ~$90 per year.
I’d be pissed if the oldest I reached was 30. 100? Nah I’d be dandy.
Wow that’s awful.
Ah. Makes sense. I caught a stream once and he pretty much just did discussions with the chat. A lot of his videos were just cuts from his streams when someone asked.
