But of course not Twitter or Facebook, where Russia pays money to radicalize people
Sort of the point though. If they take a small creator to court, they can just bankrupt them through expensive legal proceedings, and because they do have the patents the judge is unlikely to throw the case out
Either that or it will secretly fund gang activity or drug smuggling or something so that it can “catch the bad guys” and secure more lucrative government contracts
Yeah this is awesome for esoteric game preservation. Hopefully in the future someone builds an iPod emulator specifically that can open these files so they can be played without the original hardware
Also specific proprietary software people need to use for work. If you’re a design freelancer that cannot properly edit photoshop or illustrator files, customers are likely to go with another freelancer. That’s why many people dual boot for when they have to keep windows around, but this allows them to keep the evil side of their computer at least a little less evil.
TV and movies I’m totally good with 1080p. If I want a cinematic experience, that’s what the cinema is for.
But since switching to PC and gaming in 4k everywhere I can, it feels like a night and day difference to play in 1080p. Granted that means I care about monitor resolution rather than TV resolution.
But as an aside, as a software engineer that works from home, crisp text, decent color spectrum support, good brightness in a bright room, all things that make your day a whole lot better when you stare at a computer screen for a large chunk of your day
Gotta pick a new OS for the workstations. ipad
It might mostly be the banks, but I know of one gas station near me that hits that max hold, and then seconds after I’m done filling, the charge quickly switches to 30 or so dollars I put in. Whereas the other gas station that hold stayed there for almost a day. My guess is intermediary card processors play a part as well. I also learned place number 2 sells fake BIC lighters, so I don’t go there anymore.
For me that’s like the inverse. Plenty of fast food around me but the nearby McDonald’s is pretty crazy efficient (and generally busy), always gets my order right without issue. Burger King, Taco Bell, Wendy’s in the area are all terrible with order issues, badly prepared food, etc. I’ve never checked but I wonder which of the stores are franchises and which are corporate owned and if that makes a difference
At least Fallout season 2 will be in New Vegas instead of the east coast
haha I’ve watched TPB pretty religiously but I’ve never seen this, it’s excellent
You got the bubbles plastic
Yeah it’s just generally still way higher powered than the switch 2. But Nintendo has always sold underpowered hardware because of their monopoly on their properties

lol gotta love that jump from “why don’t you leave” to “why don’t you just suicide by police”
While that would occur in a perfect world, that’s not nearly as easy as many make it out to be.
Very few people have the financial capability to just “get up and move,” and even if they can, they generally need a work visa sponsorship, which is no easy feat for many industries.
Asylum is possible in very small circumstances, but you need to prove a significant burden of proof, and as of now, most countries are kissing trumps feet, not working to get US citizens out who want to leave.
If you overstay your tourism or student or work visa in another nation you will be deported, ironic considering people with those same valid visas are being deported from the us
You can’t just “apply to move” to another country in many situations without certain immigration requirements, most of which require you to have a job approved in another country before you move there
A comment like “just get up and move somewhere else” has big Ben Shapiro energy
It’s wild that “we’re cooked” started as straight meme terminology but now literally describes the future of the human race
Ah, understood, and in that case I agree with you, if an SSD fails trying to do a constant write of 60GB it’s a pretty shit SSD. But it does seem like something weird is happening if these failures are only occurring with this windows update. Like someone with a fiber connection, one of these SSDs, and a new steam game purchase needing 110GB of storage would also have encountered this failure, if it was purely the SSD, since it didn’t occur before the update, and isn’t occurring on linux
The hentai server I’m on told me to switch to libreoffice instead of helping 🙁
