I get that the simple language option exists, and i definitely think I’m not qualified to really argue what Wikipedia should or should not do. But I wanted to share what my lemmy feed looked like when I clicked into this post and I gotta say, I sorta get it.
I’m most of the way there except jet brains… I just don’t have it in me to spend the years it’ll take to become as familiar with a different tool.
If I respond, it’s mostly for the ‘audience’. I used to argue on r/libertarian or r/conservative, not to change the other person’s mind, but to add a different opinion to the thread. I doubt I ever convinced the other person of anything, but hope I got other people to think a bit more about some of the policies being advocated for.

Generally yes, but there is one use case where every key stroke is often recorded and analyzed, a search bar. If it’s trying to fill out suggestions as you type, every keystroke is recorded as you go.
Unfortunately, seems bazzite may not survive. A proposed fedora change would make it so the main maintainer would basically need to shut the project down.Edit: I stand corrected
