I had something similar ptsd and all that jazz i couldn’t wake up but I found learning about lucid dreaming helped me control my dreams to be something I wanted. It was like my own holodeck. It doesn’t always work if i go to bed stressed out but it helps on the nights I can realize I’m dreaming.

Flat out installing at all is the barrier the only thing that is going to move the needle is hardware that has Linux preinstalled and is in the news at the hot new thing to have. The steam deck is doing that and the only other way is preinstalled at the local best buy. You can make Linux the perfect OS that will do your taxes and the laundry and still they will use the worse option becase it was preinstalled. The avg person buys a computer runs it till it gets slow then just buys another one and repeats the process. The avg person just thinks they get used up and dull like razer blades.
Honestly it’s like people saying they are going to eat better after the new year. Most don’t and the people that are most of the time just do it right then not waiting for some event to start.

Nope they download some to reduce the time it takes to process the shaders. You only have to generate them locally if they don’t have your hardware specs already built in their cache.

The account is not transferable at all the federated part is you accessing other platforms data from your account. Like email your account is very much tied to the server you setup with.
What we need is something like openid like service to just store profile information like subs and creds and other servers to handle the data like pots and comments.
