The way the tech world has unfolded in the last 25 years is bound to make most people cynical.

This poster seems to indicate that piracy and/or communism are bad things. They are not. Capitalism is a bad thing (unless you are at the top 10% of the wealthiest people on earth). A bit of an imbalance that is not good. When I say ‘poster’ I mean the image (like posters they used to sell at K-Mart), not the person who posted.

The big question is why we started adding computer operating systems to our vehicles to begin with. But the answer is still the same as ClydapusGotwald states…money. The consumers did not allow anything. This is the crap they were eventually forced to buy due to lack of any other options. Electro-mechanical-chemical vehicle with a delco radio should be enough. We adopt new tech because it exists, not because we should.

I bought a ZTE last year as my first “cell phone”. I hardly ever use a phone and when I do use a phone I don’t like it. For what I use it for the monthly fee is way too high. I’d probably spend less than 10 dollars a month if it was like an old timey public “payphone”. I no longer want to do ph’d level research just to discover what to purchase or find the cheapest alternative. The world has become too complicated or maybe I have become too stupid/lazy in my elder years.
