Lots of good suggestions from everyone.
No one mentioned Mr Moskeeto though!
I did consider it when I broke that port as I used batteries on that controller for a short while but as weird as it sounds I like using it wired.
Micro USB is utter trash for sure but now with USB C I’m happy. I only had that one time when my own clumsiness ruined that one controller.
Appreciate the recommendation though :)
I haven’t ever tried a series X/S controller but I had a couple of 360 controllers that lasted through many many years of abuse then moved on to the ‘one’ controllers and the only issue I have had with those is an older micro USB version that I dropped with the cable plugged in and it smash the port off the board inside.
That issue was my fault so in general I have had very good experiences with them all.
XBox One controller is my current favourite:
Well built
Long lasting
Decent prices secondhand
Always worked first time on every OS I’ve tried it on
USB C as long as you get the newer generation version for wired play
Most comfortable size and layout IMO
Yeh… I’m on a 6a with Graphene and nothing has changed.
This article should be pinned to the sidebar to be referenced every time people jump on the “omg proton so bad” bandwagon based on one out of context excerpt from that tweet that everyone seems to love to bring up but without actually doing any further research into the subject.
Hopefully people will actually read this and adjust their opinions accordingly rather than just repeatedly jumping on that stupid, ill informed bandwagon!
Used to love me some A G Cook, GFOTY, PC Music shit back in the early 2010’s. Never heard it called hyperpop however, always heard it called future pop. Either way hyper seems more fitting and I’ll definitely sub :D
That is one of the great mystery’s of the 90s.
I’ve been playing Noita, it is difficult but great fun so far. I don’t think I’ve really even scratched the surface of what there is either.
Oh yeh, we used the internet too at that age but like you say on a 56k dial up connection you’d literally be waiting for an image to load, line after line, so magazines were preferable. ADSL ushered in the age of more easily accessed videos for us, we are probably a similar age xD
Well one thing is for sure, it impacted them in that they were less likely to get in trouble with the filth.
As a millennial my friends and I all had large collections of porn magazines and VHS tapes by the time we were 13 / 14 but they all had to be gained through theft or finding shit in the woods.
I haven’t seen a porn mag in the woods for like 20 years or more where as it used to be a regular occurrence in my youth!

"The author omitted the complete statement from Reddit:
Hi everyone,
No, Proton did not knowingly block journalists’ email accounts. Our support for journalists and those working in the public interest has been demonstrated time and again through actions, not just words.
In this case, we were alerted by a CERT that certain accounts were being misused by hackers in violation of Proton’s Terms of Service. This led to a cluster of accounts being disabled.
Because of our zero-access architecture, we cannot see the content of accounts and therefore cannot always know when anti-abuse measures may inadvertently affect legitimate activism.
Our team has reviewed these cases individually to determine if any can be restored. We have now reinstated 2 accounts, but there are other accounts we cannot reinstate due to clear ToS violations.
Regarding Phrack’s claim on contacting our legal team 8 times: this is not true. We have only received two emails to our legal team inbox, last one on Sep 6 with a 48-hour deadline. This is unrealistic for a company the size of Proton, especially since the message was sent to our legal team inbox on a Saturday, rather than through the proper customer support channels.
The situation has unfortunately been blown out of proportion without giving us a fair chance to respond to the initial outreach."
Air VPN has port forwarding, been using them for years.
It is weirder to me that people back shit like this up. I have zero desire to keep a backup of chat and random images people have sent me.
Shame it is only 128 MP3s, I’m guessing that is what the audio is streamed at.
I agree but mixcloud isn’t far behind it I don’t reckon. Especially as they used to have unlimited free uploads. I have 60 or more mixes on there myself and I’m just a bedroom DJ
Any image can mess with you if you are in the right mindset / point of your trip. AI isn’t going to make anything more “obliteration” worthy than the real world already does.
If anything it would be less appealing because it isn’t real, part of the appeal with something like a normal water bottle is the wonder of the natural world and the way your mind is interpreting it at that point in time.
