Arf! I’m Tony Bark. Artist by day, programmer by night. Gamer all the way.
Foxtrot Delta TACO.

Because not all of Spotify is AI slop.

Its insane how much billions they’re allowed to make while we get none of it.

While I can’t speak for LibreWolf, I can tell you that Waterfox is based on the latest ESR builds and is extremely well maintained to the point of evolving into its own thing entirely. It’s one of the oldest forks I’ve known. The fact it’s been around this long should speak volumes. That being said, most modern forks that I’ve tried tend to base themselves on ESR as well and evolved in a similar way.

Funny. That’s exactly what Mozilla used to be.

I have a better kill switch: Waterfox and LibreWolf. Don’t have to worry about of that nonsense right out the gate.

Tell that to all the people who lost their jobs.

While AI is just tool like anything else, the fact it is being used to replace talented artists just to save a quick buck is why it is understandably being called evil. Context matters.

It’s just a fun article to break up the usual doom and gloom.

Kay. Bring it up with Ars’ editors.

It’s in a quote because I’m quoting the author.

The irony.

Would not surprise me in the least.

Added it to the post.

Sigh… It’s Forbes. It’s what they’re citing that I find useful and something to chuckle at.

It’s basically where the whole predator vs. prey theme came from in the first place. Zootopia’s weak plot twist exists because Disney told them they couldn’t have their dark story.

It is in a quote for a reason. xD

Pretty much. Characters only enter into the public domain after the copyright for the first publication of said character lapses or if there is a copyright waiver, such as the CC0. That’s why Steamboat Willie entering the public domain was such a big deal.

Characters can still be under copyright even if the content itself isn’t. It’s stupid, but yeah…

Aladdin IV: Jafar May Need Glasses.
As if AI could handle the mountains of checks Rust has you account for.
