I think its actually that most people generally don’t really understand most things beyond the minimal level necessary to get by. Now that the tech industry isn’t just a bunch of nerds you’re increasingly more likely to encounter people who are temperamentally disinclined to seek understanding of those details.
Listen to an audiobook. If my eyes are open I’m not falling asleep so laying there listening to a book works for me.
I was into it in the early days but got over it quickly. Now I want the opposite and minimize attention my PC draws to itself. Its just pointless and kind of annoying. It was impressive back when it was new and challenging but now its just an element of marketing, and one that I’ve come to strongly dislike in my builds.
Your school is likely a resource assuming its anything like a US college. They hopefully have dedicated staff for helping students find employment and/or they may have staff doing the kind of work you want to do. Talking to those people should get you pointed in the right direction.
My laptop has a speaker amp and a fingerprint reader that both lack Linux support. I had to quit using Linux on it because it was annoying without them working.
I’ve used Remmina for win11 RDP, it seemed to be fully supported but its been a few years.
Kevin Spacey will always be Kevin Spacey. I can’t watch him act and see anything else but Kevin Spacey.
Not retired yet but went through a similar thing and we talked about all of our criteria and which ones were higher or lower priorities and what our concerns were. I really wanted to move to the middle of nowhere but given our criteria and concerns we ended up in a rural area near a smaller city. You’re not unreasonable to want specific things about where you live, like easy access to healthcare or a sane government, you just need to figure out what both of you can compromise on.
Maybe they needed 3.5% of China? Since the repression was imposed from outside of the city its happening in a larger context than just the local demographics.
I block Meta via NextDNS, living that Zuck free life is good.

Drexl from True Romance.
I missed that Dyson had sued people for calling him out on his hypocrisy. What a complete piece of shit that guy is.
Maybe it has to do with its effects on GABA receptors? Have you ever tried something like gabapentin or pregabalin?
Its amazing the 9800x3d can outperform by so much even though its on a bigger node and uses significantly less power.
I think once you have been awake past a certain point your brain becomes sort of desensitized to sleepiness and it gets easier to keep staying awake. Or at least that is how my brain is, things get weird but I will feel like I can keep going when I really shouldn’t.
I didn’t keep track of them, but I’ve only ever tried to fix blatant mistakes like typos and misspellings. The most recent was several years ago, I think 2020 or 2021. If you want to see it happen find a typo and try to fix it.
I’ve tried multiple times over the years and had the same experience. As far as I can tell Wikipedia is dominated by a weird clique of power tripping dicks. If you’re not in the clique they will revert anything you do, even fixing really blatant and obvious typos or misspellings will get reverted.
Potentially yes, if you use existing IP to make music, doing it with a computer isn’t going to change anything about how the law works. It does get super complicated and there’s ambiguity depending on the specifics, but mostly if you do it a not obvious way and no one knows how you did it you’re going to be fine, anything other than that you will potentially get sued, even if whatever you did was a legally permissible use of the IP. Rightsholders generally hate when anyone who isn’t them tries to make money off their IP regardless of how they try to do it or whether they have a right to do it unless they paid for a license.
