I’m not sure, it was very diverse but the amount and type of diversity changes depending on where in the city you are and when it is. I went to a market where just about everyone was I believe from North African or Arab backgrounds, white folks were a minority. I also spent some time in a bar where we were some of the only white people. Most places though white folks were the majority. I’m sure there’s racism but the only bigotry I definitely noticed among Parisians was against the Roma.

My phone does that sometimes when the battery gets really low. I think the radio has a power saving mode where it stops transmitting most of the time and tries to only transfer the bare minimum data. Or at least that seems like what’s going on with mine.

Took my cats to the vet for vaccines and yearly check up today, clean bill of health. While waiting there was this bizarre squeaking sound echoing through the vet which turned out to be a Chihuahua coming out of a K-hole.
There’s a variety of steps necessary before building begins. Things like getting utilities run to the property, getting permits, etc. If you’re the property owner who has those things ready to go a developer is likely going to choose you over others who still need that prep work done. You can also probably just agree to a smaller cut of the final product. If you’re willing to give up some value and make it more profitable for the developer they will prefer you over someone they will make less money from.
I used to live across the street from a relatively popular tourist attraction and would occasionally get tourists standing in front of my windows and commenting on things in my apartment. Once my girlfriend and I were eating breakfast in front of an open window and someone tried talking to us about how expensive something was in our apartment. Besides that the only regular rudeness was groups acting like they own the sidewalk. Usually its large families but I do remember one time what looked like a Russian oligarch trophy wife surrounded by an entourage of stereotypical body guards that had people swearing at them because they were not letting anyone else use the sidewalk as they headed for the tourist attraction.
