It was surprisingly good. Not life changing but they had some messages and themes that they wanted to convey and did so pretty damn well.
Gets a little ahead of itself in moments but honestly, there are tons of far worse films released every year.

What the fuck.
Copy that. Found a drop on archive.org. Planning to grab it when I’m back home. Cheers friend!
Aww geez. Thanks for the summary duder. Been at a conference in the bay so kinda detached from it all. Gonna be wild if Fandom is the shitdicks that kill GB.
Fuck. Long time, first time. I’m a few episodes behind. Any additional info available? Links?
Who knew we’d live to see a world where consoles increase in price 5 years in to the generation.
I hate this timeline.

This game is a technical mess. Oblivion is top 3 of all time for me. I’m the target audience for a litany of reasons, yet I refunded it after 3 hours.
It runs like shit on everything. Windows? Check. Linux? Check. Steam Deck? Check. GeforceNow? Check.
As soon as you leave the prison it all falls apart. Hopefully the next few months of patching can salvage it. I’ll keep an eye on reports. Until then though, the console versions seem to be the only way it’s worth trying to run this release.
Specs for anyone interested:
PC running Win 11 23h2 and PopOS - Ryzen 5900x, 5080FE
Laptop Running 24h2 and Mint Ryzen 7945HX, 4080
Both of those should be able to run this game at 240 1080p, 120 2k or 60 4k and unfortunately none of that happens. Its just a see saw of random drops and stutters not matter what settings I use.
Sweet. Does it finally fix the black screen issues? My 5080 is damn near unusable.
Fucking scrub ass drivers.
nm, realized which sub this was. Black screens aren’t a problem on Linux… Yet.
There was a demo reel of the spy as well that was incredible. I played untold hours of tfc. It is likely what made me a intellimouse fan (thumb buttons for both grenade types?! It was the future).
I truly miss conc grenades. There has never been a more versatile weapon in a game.
It is a real dog to control on PC unfortunately. Tried with wired and wireless controllers, Steam and GOG. It was made in that era where there was no common PC controller drivers. Mouse control is pretty jumpy as well.
That said, fantastic game if you can get over the humps. There’s a few good mods as well to update some of the jank.
As a kid the line about area codes hit me like a revelation.
Additionally, you can purchase “parts” bags/kits which are marketed as “repair accessories” for 11+ rd magazines(usually 30 rds for 5.56 and 7.62). These somehow skirt around the law from my understanding. You’re buying the complete mag, but assemble it yourself.
Yes. Especially the systems 2.0 revamp combined with the Phantom Liberty expansion.
I am a pretty big fan boy though and have sunk a few hundred hours in to it since launch. The only place I’ve really experienced issues is on some PS5 builds and the Series S Xbox. Otherwise, it runs solid on PC across the board (Steam Deck, Gerforce Now, 3080 and 5080 desktop, 4080 laptop, etc…).
Came here to type a long winded comment; saw this perfection, upvoted and left.
I missed out on the 1st gen pebble but had a buddy who loved his. Y’all may be talking me in to checking this new one out.
And agreed on the pine faces. I’ve been of half a mind to learn how to make them so I could have more variety.
For anyone looking for a similar device in the interim (long battery, open source) the PineTime is a great device.
We call that doing lines around these parts.
I’ll have to dig in to that Gattaca soundtrack. Sounds right in my wheelhouse.
