I know what it means; I wasn’t being serious. I know that Sunshine is not the type to use speciesist slurs. :)
Is that a slur? When used as a verb? And would that be against the rules here? If so, oh the irony. 'Twas nice knowing you, valiant Sunshine…

I hear about Python probably at least as much as I hear about Rust, to be fair. I looked at some Python code years ago and seem to remember the code looking more like a shell script than like other programming languages I had seen, so the ease and readability aspects make sense. If ever I do start programming, I won’t start by learning Rust. Baby steps.

Is Rust really so obscure? I’m not a programmer, but I seem to hear about Rust frequently in any remotely halfway-techy space.

Those are all Lemmy and PieFed, and I’m not so familiar with Mastodon and others. Maybe look at mas.to ?

Banana.

Librewolf is also an option, which is basically just FF with arkenfox preinstalled.
I don’t think that it’s just that. Librewolf probably makes many of the same changes, but from what I understand, it is a completely separate project, so not all of the arkenfox changes are included in Librewolf and vice versa.

While that sounds like an interesting project, I’m not trying to invest a lot of time and effort into this. The grass won’t stop growing back while I figure it out.

I don’t want to run Openwrt or Tomato precisely because they include non-free firmware blobs in order to support the ac/ax WiFi chipsets, and I don’t want to spend the time and effort figuring out how to remove those when the developers of libreCMC have already done that.

I have a laptop that I use at the desk next to where I will put the router, and any network-attached storage will also be right there next to the router, so I have no need for WiFi. It’s fine if the WiFi could work of course, but I wouldn’t use it, and I imagine that many routers would be 100% compatible with libreCMC if not for the WiFi requiring non-free firmware. What I want to know is which routers these are that don’t require any non-free firmware for any of the hardware other than the WLAN.

No need, and it’s just easier to secure that way.
Hey, curing cancer and surviving cancer are two different things.
I think that violence can be adequately defined as “the instigation of aggression/harm against peaceful beings.” Hierarchy is not strictly required for this.
You’re welcome! To make a bootable USB drive with dd, the command would be sudo dd if=/path/to/installer.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=1M && sync where the sdX is your actual USB drive.

Compatibility with Libreboot/Canoeboot seems to be one of the main advantages of certain Thinkpad models, so it might be something to check out. :)
(For creating a bootable USB drive from a .iso file, can you not simply use the dd command?)
I’ve not heard of that. Does Fedora have its own coreboot distro, or is it something else?
Not specific to Disroot, but since they are based in the Netherlands, you should be aware of Nine Eyes and always use end-to-end encryption. I know someone who avoids Disroot specifically but has not stated a reason for it… He uses envs.net though.
