I am trying to get my hands on 6 or 6T since the announcement of Google developer verification. Unfortunately, it still seems like one of the best devices for PostmarketOS.
I was really excited to install PostmarketOS on my Oneplus 6 but it didn’t boot afterward. It turns out I actually have a Oneplus 5, which is very different. Amazingly, the tools available for these devices allowed me to recover from being bricked.
It’s now running LineageOS but between its limited hardware features and its bad battery it is a glorified alarm clock
If my 6T didn’t die on me after the 1000s time falling in the bathtub I would still be using it.
Was such a great phone.
I had that phone for a few years (from a friend who didn’t use it anymore as he cracked the screen), it was very solid.
I actually struggled to find an actual replacement that is as good as this one.
After watching the video I just turned it on again, last time it did it would shut down suddenly. It still works! Probably the battery issue mentioned in the video happen,when I just started it it was slow, now it’s faster.
