can’t wait for the FP7 so i can buy a fairphone. Unless they still.use a USB 2.0 USB port. In which case I will use my current phone until its dead in the water.
Faster file transfer speeds if I’m taking video off the phone, and I would like to purchase a Nexdock eventually so I can have an easy small thing to carry around for server administration instead of my 16" laptop.
The amount of times ive had a large transfer over WiFi fail after like 15 minutes of waiting is more than reason enough. Happened with LocalSend and FTP. I’d rather just use a physical reliable connection. Not to mention WiFi will not work for a Laptop Dock.
I agree that USB 2.0 isn’t acceptable anymore, but it is what most phones are shipping, even at the highest end. I can see it being difficult for Fairphone to include faster ports, especially when most consumers don’t care too much about it. Are you using a phone with USB 3.0??

For what do you use it for?
