This reminds me of some of the goated instance names we’ve lost over the years. RIP iuserarchlinux.fyi, now you’re just a website peddling probable scamware.
That one was of my favorite alts, and I use OpenSUSE
iusesuse.fyi is available and only ~£6/year. 🤔
I would rather give those 6 pounds to the .zip instances 😄
They block the UK, your cheque will bounce!
Hopefully we’ll find a way!
Piefed.zip is operated by DotZip Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16625751) with its registered office at 61 Bridge Street, Kington, United Kingdom, HR5 3DJ.
Only England and Wales‽ So my glorious Scottish pounds aren’t good enough for this ‘DotZip Ltd’?
(But damn, so professional. I wish I understood any of this stuff enough to get something like this set up for feddit.uk.)
TIL
Scottish banknotes are unusual, as they are issued by retail banks (not government central banks) and because they are not legal tender in the United Kingdom. They are also not legal tender in Scotland, where, in law, no banknotes (including those issued by the Bank of England) are defined as legal tender.
Interesting 😄
About the legal stuff, maybe you guys can try to create a non-profit down the line like https://fedecan.ca/ for the .ca instances and sh.itjust.works ?
[R. I. P.] queer.af
sh.it just . works
doesn’t work half the time
Is it a joke, or are they really having issues lately?
There is this post: https://sh.itjust.works/post/51085128
But that was an issue on the LW side
Correct:-). Though the person you were replying to might not have pursued the issue quite as far to determine that fact (or there could still be other issues going on besides that?).
Well, sometimes you can’t post about what you do so that you can keep doing it.
