We are hitting a dangerous time of year where “next year” starts to overlap with comprehendable intervals, with the result of nothing being done.

“It’s not due until next year, I’ll get around to it. What do you mean it’s due in a week?!”

Ugh, yes. I’m going through a rough relationship patch where we’ve separated to work on ourselves and the relationship.

My natural inclination is to pursue and put in effort until I drop, but the smart move is almost always to wait. For days, even weeks. There have been a few instances where I felt like my last move was an eternity ago. Nope, just two days. Not even full days. Torture!

Yeah I relate. The past is a dream. The future a dream wrapped in a vibe. Hours boggle me

    Uhm, mine is:
    5 minutes: TOO short,
    10 minutes: TOO long!
    3 hours: Busy things only!
2 weeks: Yep! Just not today.
Next year: Okay, it’ll be, eventually!

      Sometimes for me, it’s also:

      5 minutes = fictional

      3 hours = one snooze

      2 weeks = tomorrow

Next year = soon (as in “I’ll get around to it soon”)

I’ve got a monthly scheduled transfer from one of my bank accounts to another that is mildly problematic every month. I need to change the amount, but to do that, I’ve got to go to the bank during business hours.

It has been nearly a year that I’ve needed to do this. I would like to hope I’ll get it done before 2026, but I suspect I’ll still have it on my to do list in June.

2 weeks; truly abstract art. Who can even remember two weeks ago? I can’t.

5 minutes for me is more like one blink or 2/3rds of a psych myself up to do something.
