yes…honestly not sure how to stop the doom scrolling, it’s obviously not healthy even for normal people let alone us.

If you’re referring to Lemmy, this is what I do:

      1. Unsubscribe from everything.
      2. Add all the communities you’re interested in.
      3. You will reach the end.
      4. If you feel you needed more content, go to All (or whatever it’s called) and browse through a few interesting posts and subscribe to those communities.
      5. Repeat when needed.

Eventually, you won’t need to be adding more communities and you’ll still be reaching the “end” of the doom scrolling.

Yup. Seems to happen every year, where the “things I need to do” list grows beyond my control every December.

Worst part is finding gifts for everyone, since I’m incapable of determining what people want or need, and most people say “i dunno” or something like that. And it’s not like I can’t get them anything, since that’ll cause distress on my part.

For a “season of joy” I don’t think I’m doing it right.

Absolutely, it’s mainly just a ton of sensory overload from going to shopping centres and other places, then a lot of stimming once I get home. I’ve also felt some massive burnout from enjoying messing with tech, which I did for like a week straight and then after that I felt numb.

I feel as though I’ve regressed recently, but from my pov it seems to just be the fact I’ve tried my best to not mask and mention my boundaries a lot more often, which has worked a bit but also reminded myself and others about how I used to act as a young child, I was thought of as easy to anger and the stereotypical “youngest child”, but hey, I feel a lot better since accepting that I may have ADHD, autism or both (currently undiagnosed but I’ll get that done once I cross that path)
