Well I was mostly alluding to the fact that there is a large swath of Trump voters that are surprised they were directly affected by policies they voted for.
At the same time as the President commonly pardons a couple of turkeys (out of thousands), I thought it would be a fitting allegory.
The US needs savvy voters. Or, selfish voters who realise they are the farmed turkeys voting for Christmas.
