It went surprisingly well, I think! It’s to be a (late) Christmas gift for someone I won’t be seeing for a little bit yet. Just used a regular cheap soldering iron. I know that you’re supposed to prepare the surface of the wood first, but that didn’t seem like the right finish for this birdhouse.
That looks fantastic for “trying your hand”! Clean details, the subject (birds) is clear and attractively done, you should keep at it! I shouldn’t think it’d be over long before you can start selling pieces, if you wanted. Well done!
