I’ve confirmed this with multiple accounts now. If you promote the 2nd amendment, including training responsibly with others, your account will be autobanned within 60 seconds.

To be clear, my comments contained exactly zero calls to violence. They were simple comments stating every American has the right to arm themselves and that everyone should train responsibly, ideally with others who are more experienced.

I’ve had 4 or 5 accounts autobanned within a minute now. All immediately after posting pro 2nd amendment comments. These accounts were anywhere from 1 week to multiple months old. So they’re not brand new accounts that are being flagged for whatever reason.

Reddit is now complicit in the fascist takeover of our nation.

Okay, fair enough, but that brings up another angle–
What if they have a site-wide bias (and they almost certainly do, for perfectly good reasons), for new accts and/or little-used accts to demonstrate a level of non-controversial engagement before passing a certain litmus test… in which the accts are later allowed much more freedom to post & comment upon controversial matters?

The good-faith test, so to speak.

Because without a shred of doubt, there most be a huge influx of new and sleeper accts that are created for sockpuppet, propaganda, and destabilization purposes, apart from whatever political angle they’re coming from.

So isn’t it possible you’re getting tripped up right there? Which is why I’m thinking a far better test would be to bring up the 2A from older accts with solid karma and solid analytics (rrc.fyi, reveddit.com, snoosnoop.com, etc)

That person doesn’t seem willing to share any details of their setup, but you don’t have to take them at their word.

Just search “arm yourself” on Reddit and you’ll see a ton of such messages, from non banned accounts, posted in the last few hours and beyond. Most of them are written in the context of the current regime and the ICE shooting too so the premise of this whole post seems to be wrong. Most of them are on subs that are wildly anti-regime and don’t mince words about it.

OP seems to think they have perfect opsec which is generally a sign of mediocre opsec. I’d take their conclusions with a huge grain of salt.

You can take as many grains of salt as you want. Open a salt mine.

If you read through my comments I’ve made it clear that I believe it is a combination of keywords that are initiating these auto-bans. But those keywords aren’t breaking site rules. It is a behind-the-scenes effort by Reddit to ban users who have used a combination of these key words in their comments, despite those key words not amounting to breaking any rules.

So “arm yourself” alone won’t get you banned, and nowhere, in any of my comments, did I imply that. In my original post I paraphrased what got me banned this time because Reddit deleted the comment so I couldn’t copy/paste. But that paraphrase includes a few key things that I think triggers an auto-ban.

So if I said “arm youself” and “train” and “fascist” in the same comment, that could be what triggers the auto-ban. But those key words alone don’t break any site rules and I didn’t include them in a configuration that implied violence. So I could say

“We live in scary political times. Fascism has come to America. The founding fathers provided us with the 2nd Amendment and that gives you the right to arm yourself for self defense, but you should be responsible about it. If you’re experienced with firearms you should help others arm themselves if they’re interested and help them train responsibly.”

and that would initiate the ban. That’s actually pretty damn close to the comment I posted. And pretty damn close to the other 2A comments that got my other accounts auto-banned.

The bans are too instantaneous to be reviewed by any human. This current account that was banned was MONTHS old with HUNDREDS of comments in opposition to what’s going on right now. Something IN THAT COMMENT got me auto-banned. And this is the same chain of events that have happened to a number of my MONTHS old accounts. And every time it’s a comment I had just posted so it’s fresh in my mind and I know I didn’t break any site rules. I’ve been on Reddit long enough to know how to play the game of saying things without being too forward about it. Especially once I started seeing this trend regarding 2A comments.

Ah, encore une chose-- I think it hugely likely that their internal analytics (similar to rrc.fyi, reveddit.com, snoosnoop.com, etc) must also play a role.

So more than just acct age, karma and keywords, they probably keep a running ‘quality user’ score that likely factors in to such decisions. You can see examples of what that might look like via those links above. So I’m thinking that a high-karma, old acct with high quality user score probably has more leeway to deal in risky-type keywords.

In any event, they’re a big company with millions of users to manage, so no matter what, they surely have a bunch of fairly complex algorithms to do much of the heavy lifting in terms of site-wide moderation.

it will no longer be possible to identify which accounts are trusted humans and which are just bots, making the content on the site less valuable. I guess spez doesn’t care since he’s already cashed out.

Yeah I’m pretty sure this is where things are headed.

Ah-- that entire site now seems whitewashed of that woman’s murder in the streets, just from yesterday.

I stand deeply corrected, and care no more for arguments or details, starting from my own.

We should just go spam reddit with troll posts about how Cheeto cum taste good and that pedophiles should rule the world. Now that would be funny. The notorious Cheeto cum prank.
