If a cop hurts my dog, they better have already put a bullet in me because I will kill them.
Reminds me of that meme/quote/tweet/whatever from a while back that I can’t find that was like:
Yeah, you say “fuck the police” now, but when somebody breaks into your house, who is going to show up 2 hours later and shoot your dog?
And yet these same cops cry like sniveling little babies when a police dog dies, often (as described in the article) by mistreatment from their own handlers.
Fuck them and their bullshit double standards
Just like ICE murderer Jonathon Ross who is married to a Filipina woman. These shit bags are nothing but double standards, rules for thee, not for me, and any other hypocritical thing you can think of.
Edit: misread the title.
Me too, I thought it meant each one does lol. Then I checked to see if it was the onion, nope. Then I read it again.
KRISTI noem would know.

Police are bad. But also most dog owners have zero ability to control their dogs. It’s cute when Fido jumps up on guests until it’s your 80 year old granny falling and breaking a hip.
Not a reason to kill a dog if you’re a “big, strong” policeman though. So why bring it up here?
Sorry, even a police person should be afraid of a charging rottweiler with a bite strength of 328 psi.
If you’re asking why I’d bring up uncontrolled dogs in relation to an article about police shooting dogs, you’re just looking to pick a fight.
You didn’t mention biting dogs, you mentioned affectionate dogs jumping at people.
Sorry, I assumed you could infer that uncontrolled dogs may exhibit more than one unwanted behavior.
All dogs are biting dogs. Most fatalities are from dogs with high bite strength, but most dog bites are Retrievers like Labradors and Goldens.
stop being lazy, no reason to expect readers to infer your points when you are conflating excitable with aggressive
and dog bite statistics are meaningless without context, both those breeds are easily top 10 most common
so post some methodologies please
Oh, boy. I’m doing none of those things for randos on Lemmy just because they lack critical thinking.
As an outside observer to this conversation, you’re actually just really bad at communicating your point properly.
Teaching a dog not to jump up at people is one of the hardest behaviors to get rid of, as most guests/passerbys reward that behavior with pets and you have to tell everyone to stop doing that before your dog learns. Very few healthy and happy dogs attack people unprovoked. It is a different story however if they or their human is harassed by an asshole cop.
