I feel bad for the writers. They have one hit and now they have to work with has-been Tim Burton. The guy hasn’t made anything worth watching since Big Eyes in 2014. His last very good film was Big Fish in 2003.

🤔 KPop Demon Hunters keep popping up in my social media feeds.

If I, a discerning adult, wanted to get a good impression of the franchise/trend/whatever, and be entertained, what should I watch first?

edit: Oh, I didn’t know that. I thought it was originally a comic or an animated series that had grown into a frachise. Alright, just one movie. Easy.

Its a film made for Netflix which unexpectedly blew up in a massive way, to the extent that they hadn’t done any merchandise deals in time for Christmas. All they could do was a sing-along version and a soundtrack album.

I’m under the impression it’s mostly just the one movie Kpop demon hunters. There’s a singalong and maybe a making of, but I’m pretty sure it’s not yet a franchise with spinoffs etc. Just the one movie should be all that’s needed. It’s pretty good for what it is in my opinion.

Just watch the movie, there’s only one at the moment. Sequels are planned but not out yet. Or if you really don’t want to invest an hour and a half to watch the movie, there are probably recap videos on YouTube.
