I did the same thing 23 years ago, when Dubya pooped out the very fascist USA Patriot Act and people started disappearing in Gitmo without due process, and I’ve been spending a quarter of a century warning people that the US is a fascist country and about to get worse.
Sadly, I hate to tell you I told you so.
But there’s one thing I didn’t see coming: I didn’t expect that the people responsible for turning the country full-on fascist would be such pathetic losers.
US will forget about this as they did it back then and still unironically call themselves the “free-est country in the whole world.”
Hollywood and bigtech assisting it along the way.
US has always been “by the rich, for the rich” exploiting the rest.
The comments on HN are a shitshow. Hard to tell if they’re propaganda operatives or real Americans with the MAGA mental illness, but it’s crystal clear the US is a failed state collapsing into fascism.
