Watch them like a hawk and flip them as soon as you can. I’m sure they taste great, but I thought you covered them with jam at first. :)

Why a gas burner specifically? Induction stove tops are more controllable
For a lot of people, stoves are either electric or gas. I doubt induction was given any thought here. But I agree.
