    it is mind boggling to think that most people nowadays have not seen the milky way, or barely seen the stars.

    there are few places in the world where they are visible with a sky clear enough to see the milky way.

    trough practically all human history, seeing the night sky without light pollution was normal. yet now? who has seen it

    i did once, it’s beautiful

      I mean, you can see it even in the centre of Europe. I’ve seen it multiple times. Not super bright, but I’ve seen it.

        you can still see it, but it’s not longer a normal thing that people see practically every night.
