Here in Sweden, there was a lot of complaints on how the police acted during the protests against the EU summit and visit by George W Bush to Gothemburg in 2001.
One key issue was that the police had their faces covered and it was not possible to identify who did what from cameras or witnesses.
What came from this is that when policemen are working with their faces covered, they have an ID number printed on their helmet so they can be identified later.
Is that something that happens in the US?
(Not that I would trust the accuracy of that in the US these days)
Accountability is something we actively avoid here.
