A DCCU hit? Can it be true?
Yes, just in time for everyone to be jaded with superhero movies. So, they’ll take it as a cue that they should rampnit up in number, irrespective quality. Then surprise Pikachu face when their new (same) strategy fails again.
Eventually they will realise that good movies are good movies irrespective of IP or superhero. Of you allow good creative people to use existing IP, you’ve got a boost to early numbers, but it needs to be a good movie. If creative people try something new, often you’ll get a hot, but you may get failures. It won’t cost as much. If you churn IP with kink stories, the built in audience will see it but shrink over time until eventually even with skilled storytellers, they nope out.
Turns out WB just needed someone to tell them that you’re supposed to finish writing the script before you start filming.
Hey it worked for star wars.
I’m shocked that they had to be told that. From a money standpoint that sounds like a great way to lose shit tons of cash.
