Your link is borked FYI. I use a volcano at home and have for many, many years. I love it. When I first started smoking in my mid-twenties I bought a MFLB, the first real portable vape I’d ever seen. It was awesome too. I’ve been considering buying a Mighty or a Crafy from Stors and Brickel because the desktop is so good, although I had a Plenty for a year and HATED it.

I was on the fence for a while between volcano and flowerpot. I think I would have been happy with either as they are both very good.

      Thanks fixed the link.

Very few people I’ve talked to liked the Plenty but the mighty or crafty with the dosing pods is top notch for session vaping. S&B build quality is still very good.

Check out the tiny might if that is still in production. You may like that if you want something more on demand than the s&b offerings but still prefer higher build quality. Handhelds can be a real crapshoot.

I used to be a vape hobbyist. I still appreciate new devices but I am no longer plugged in to “the scene.” Check out the fuckcombustion forums if you’re interested in newer products and informed discussion. My info is about prek aged at this point.

I’ll check it out brother thanks again - honestly I wish, tacky as it may be, to find a really ornate, beautiful hose-based vape. I want a station similar to a bar at parties that didn’t look like an opimium den lol. Still haven’t seen anyone doing that well.

Da Buddha vape is hose based, made in usa and with a “ball mod” you can drain a gram at a time. It’s plain black but if you’re creative you can probably make it look good. I used mine as a vape station for get togethers because it was least likely to burn people. Log vapes with multiple straws or wpas are also aesthetic and work well but you have to get a stronger model of whichever brand if you want to share. Log vapes aren’t hose based but look like normal room decoration. I recommend Underdog vapes for logs because they did right by me when I needed support.

                Da Buddha vape

That and the silver surfer have been around forever and while I appreciate their function they still look a little too drug den for me for a party. Back in college I would have been down. I know I am asking something damn near impossible I just would have thought with the legalization movement and hell even some places having lounges, we would have a more sophisticated way of imbibing by now. Mixology for the green people, come on!

It might be up to you to invent it! I kept mine behind the bar so only the hose could be seen and used kek clips to hold the hose on top the heater. The log was the only one my wife felt was acceptable to have out in full view but it was so inconspicuous people thought the silver straws for it were for coke. It is a shame most of the drug toys look so druggy. The dbv came in a red hemp knit carry bag lol.

First of all thanks for posting here! Awesome to see people feeling comfortable in this space and other jumping in to be helpful. 💚

As far as the Flowerpot goes- Temps will vary a bit depending on how you run your setup and which version of the flowerpot you have. Stuff like the material your bowl is made of, how far the weed is from the end of the injector, if you’re looking for quick hard hits or slow flavorful hits, etc, will dictate what temps you need and what kind of flavor profile you get. It’ll take some experimenting to figure out what you like best, and you may even want to change it up depending on the strain or type of session you’re looking for.

In any case it’s best to start low and work up slowly. You can easily combust with a powerful ball vape and that’s an awful experience you’re better off avoiding.

I use the Cheech and Chong mambo vape, it’s 50 bucks, I preheat it twice and then it pulls smoothly. I have a magic flight launch box, you can get bigger puffs out of it but the learning curve is pretty high for getting it to pull correctly. I would recommend the mambo one because it’s cheap, easy to clean with some alcohol and q tips, and easy to use. Idk if they still do but mine came with pretty much everything needed to clean it.

If you like vapes like that but want something a little easier to clean and hit you should look at the potv one and it’s clones.

Flowerpot is truly a top tier desktop. Mine is set around 600 to 650. The temperature is the temp of the coil not the air like on some vapes. The slower you hit the cooler you’ll set it. I’ve had mine for almost ten years, since before they changed their name, and cannot recommend it enough.

For glass I used a collection of mid size, think 7 - 10", dab rigs. You’ll want to stick to things like dab rigs instead of regular bongs because you don’t need as much diffusion for vapor. Big chugging pieces will take flavor out. I got all mine off AliExpress.

Oh nice didn’t think about AliExpress. Great thanks.

I’ve been experimenting with temperature. 650 is burning the 🌿 after 3 tokes. So much that a 4th makes me wanna puke and is totally black. Then 550 I get 2 or 3 strong puffs and then 5 or so weak ones and then nothing.

Also, vapes like the plant material to be a little drier than you may be used to. I use the lower % (55 maybe I’m not at home) bovedas to store or you can just grind enough for a day at a time and let it sit in the grinder.

Don’t overfill the bowl. You should be able to clear it in one or two hits. 550 sounds closer to what you’re looking for. Go up by ten each bowl until you get the hits you’re looking for. A little black on top is fine but once you get the popcorn taste you’re fully extracted. If you get black on top but the bottom still has some green then your airflow is off. Fluffy, coarser grind is preferred. The idea is for the hot fluid to flow over and around the plant matter freely.

Interesting way to vape flower. Seems like you’d want something smooth like a shower head percolator and you’d want the joint to be on top of the percolation chamber. I recommend adding a “drop down” glass adapter so that any oil produced by the condensed vapor drips down into it and can be easily cleaned out, and so that you can keep heat off the main glass joint, because things like the flowerpot or a concentrate e nail can snap glass joints if there’s too much thermal shock/it gets seized onto the joint by heat shrinkage. It’s happened to me too many times unfortunately. Always get something cheap you’re not willing to lose to put your enail or flowerpot on, IMO. Otherwise I would say a coarse fluffy flower grind would probably work best with this. cheers and happy vaping
