So, this goes on until the Supreme Court (maybe) says that it stands. In which case, companies start to sue for their tariffs back. That money will of course not make it’s way back to consumers, and they will keep the prices of products where they ended up after tariffs, but now they keep it, plus the money they get from back tariff.
So, predictably, the consumer loses. This is the most American thing one can imagine.
Some bourgeoisie — whether they be kings and queens, or emperors, or pharaohs, or some quasi democracy ruled by a shadow oligarchy like a corporate dictatorship — stealing from, and murdering, the poor for profit is unfortunately all of human history.
The only difference is ever since we achieved “democracy” we’ve been under the illusion that the wealthy no longer controlled our governments, but the generational wealth never left the tens of thousands of families who got wealthy from historic crimes against humanity. War has made trillions over the last century fighting “communism” or “terrorism”, when most of the time they were simply denying entire countries their right to democracy, and the people who profited were the weapons manufacturers, mining and raw materials sectors, energy sectors (fossil fuels), etc of specific countries, with 90% of the profits flowing straight into the hands of those tens of thousands of families — the ultra wealthy — of most economies.
There is no war but class war, and it always has been.
Nice! You see far.
Time to pay back sucker!
