Aggie and Millie napping in the sun room. Going to go grocery shopping this morning. Hoping to to get to Costco early. We’ll see how that goes.

This is a daily post for “casual” conversation. If you want to post or talk about something non autism related this is where to do it. For example if you want to info dump about your special interest but it doesn’t fall into “autism related” then you can post it here in the comments. All other rules are still active, be respectful to each other.

Been watching / re watching movies of one quite specific genre. So far almost done 10 films science yesterday. I don’t really properly watch cos I play them as I play a game in front of TV. Its like driving and listening radio.

    Hello.

I’m a neurotypical, 48 y.o. male who has recently started working as a disability support worker.

Some of my clients are on the ASD and ADHD spectrum and I’m here to try and understand autism and ADHD a little better. I have no (known) prior experience living or interacting with non-neurotypical individuals.

This is all new to me and I don’t want to make mistakes. I know I will, but I hope that people are patient with me. I will be lurking, and occasionally asking questions. Please forgive me if my questions are offensive, that is not my intention, I am still learning. I just want to be the best support worker I can be.

If I offend, the more information you can give me, the better I can adjust my language or attitude so as to not offend in future.

If anyone has any questions for me, then please, ask them. I will answer as honestly and as plainly as I know how.

    Looking cozy!

Rainy day but we managed to lay two layers of bricks on the smoke sauna fireplace and cleared ground around the building to prevent moisture creeping up the walls. It’s nice to do some physical work every now and then and also learning new skills is great!

Mother’s cat is here and now for the next (unknown amount of time) I medicate her twice a day. And feed her chicken my mother bought for the cat.

And deal with our cat being upset half the house is now cut off from her.

Also there’s a damned boil water thing going on, and tomorrow is when I generally clean all the cat water bowls so that’s going to be fun to deal with.
