Paramount said it does “not agree with recent efforts to boycott Israeli film-makers”, making it the first major studio to respond to a recent pledge not to work with institutions that supported or were otherwise involved in the “genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people”.

The pledge circulated by an organization called Film Workers for Palestine has more than 4000 signatures including directors and actors like Jonathan Glazer, Ava DuVernay, Yorgos Lanthimos, Emma Stone, Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, Olivia Colman and Mark Ruffalo.

Am I hallucinating or is Paramount not blatantly comparing two different things?

The boycotters won’t work with Israeli film production companies. Paramount is equating it to silencing individual Israeli artists. I don’t see anyone saying they won’t wlork with Gal Gadot and Natalie Portman anymore because they’re Israeli.

i think Portman is against the genocide and supports Gaza.

so she won’t have any issues with the boycotts,

those boycotts will be great for Gal Gadot, as now she can have an excuse as to why no one watches her movies.

Pretty brutal take down of Gal Gadot. That being said I haven’t seen a single movie with her (I don’t do superhero/US comics for the most part). Been meaning to watch Death on the Nile though.
