      That sounds like you think immigrants come with more problems than they resolve. If that was the case why are labor economists in consensus that all nations should have open borders?

      If illegal immigration was actually harming American society wouldn’t the reasonable response be criminalizing hiring undocumented people and arresting the owners of businesses that hire these people, yet at no point is this suggested can you think of a reason why?

        Not at all. I support legal immigration.

        But I think the majority that voted for Trump firmly believe fewer illegal immigrants is a good thing.

          Ok but that answers neither of my questions.

          If legal vs illegal immigration mattered why do labor economists agree that we should only have open borders?

          If illegal immigrants are an issue why not arrest those that employ these people since the employers are the ones creating the demand for their work? Why take the ineffective action of abusing people guilty of a crime equivalent to a mild misdemeanor?
