Also, what happens when you use a fairly hard isolating filter cutoff as opposed to one that lets some smaller % of whatever’s cutoff? Are there issues or risks associated with stuff like that and hearing?

    AFAIK it’s the volume that has associated hearing risks. Mid high frequencies cause damage faster ( I can’t remember the exact range but I do remember drum kits generally sit in that range. Maybe 4k-8k?

    Anyone listening at normal volumes shouldn’t have a problem no matter what. They’re also nerds. I also cannot hear a thing they say.

      I tend to definitely filter(out) mid to high so its more rumbly and bassy. Its quite relaxing and sort of make me feel like its gently using my brain as a doughy punching bag for ants
