If somebody was gonna pay me 100x as much to do a job I did decades ago I’m not gonna complain.
And this time they won’t even ask her to do it in her underwear.
Aw :(
My headcanon at this point is that Ripley and her entire bloodline are cursed. First Ripley multiple times, then her daughter(I think?), then her clones, and now whoever this Ripley will be.
She’s the Jango Fett of Alien
I love Ripley, but at this point they need to go the ‘Isolation’ route and bring Amanda as the new character lead.
Yeah? Well I read 100 pages of a script before! It’s not a competition, Ripley!
(but I am winning)
Can’t wait for Aliens: Resurrections

After rewatching 2/3 recently Ripley was played out after 2, but who knows they might do something interesting with the character?
As long as it’s ultimately decided that “Alien: Earth” is not canon, yeah. Let it be forgotten, especially that atrocious final episode.
the fx series, it feels like they are grasping at straws. its like all the movies and shows since the original AVOID actually have lack of significant amount of the main villian in the show, its always a preqeul or a origin story.
The director admitted he doesn’t even have a plan for the future in an interview, and that really shows. No one significant dies in the final episode, basically nothing happens, so they can leave everything open for season 2.
Jones will be back to, I assume?
Why do we need another sequel to Alien?
Because people are much more likely to go and watch a thing they’ve heard of with bad reviews than they are something with good reviews that they’ve never heard of.
We don’t. We got two good movies from the franchise, which is about all I can hope for. We got two good Star Wars’. We got two good Blade Runners. We even got two good Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’. We got only one good Terminator but that was the second one so persistence can produce results, I guess. I’m not against anyone trying again, but my expectations for a new enjoyable Alien are admittedly rather low.
One good Terminator movie? You didn’t like the original Terminator?
The second one was OK, but no where near as good as the original.
I did. It’s not bad. It was on TV a while ago and I sat through the whole thing. I just never feel like it needs revisiting. Judgement Day is such an improvement in every way. Can I say one and a half good Terminators?
I ask myself this about every movie sequel. There are too many superhero movies damn it
Omg … The Alien franchise is the poster child for franchises that need to die.
