I think there is something completely unnatural about sitting in a open office and trying to do work. Its like the worst environment you can think of to do work in.
I’m declining every request for a social gathering at the office and I insist on working from home. I’m lucky this works for my company, but there are more than enough examples of managers that will rather die than accept people not being able to work in such an environment.
