I think its too late. The dollar lost 15% of its value from beginning of year… It doesnt look like it will go much lower. Its been kind of stuck for the last month.

Buy other stocks, not American ones. They will also be affected but not as much.

Yeah 100%. I just dont know if Europe can compete. There is no real European cloud with hundreds of services, and Linux in the enterprise world is much harder to administer than windows. Microsoft is good at selling their enterprise stuff.

I think all of that is going to put Europe behind. But maybe its good to get started. Perhaps that will actually lead to an entire market for making Linux as good as windows in the enterprise.

I think it wont crumble during our livetime. But the insane debt is going to make dollars worth less and less. Perhaps they switch to bitcoin… :)

Just ask people here, people just love anyone who switches over to Linux and want to learn about it. Because we actually love this operating system. Its so good.

When my kid started using Linux, once he knew how to start programs and install things, we went through where the files are on the file system and how to get there in a terminal. I think thats a good starting point so you understand the foundation of the system.

And then go though a basic Linux command line tutorial to learn about the common tools for listing files, filtering results, renaming and deleting files etc.

You can do that stuff in a graphical file manager too but you dont really get that understanding of how things work until you do it in the terminal.

I pretty much cant run anything else, i get so frustrated with all the workarounds that are simply not needed on arch. It has native packages for almost anything.

I think Sweden has actually become more like America in that regard. Young people are not thinking about the country, they want to get rich quick, just like in America.

The culture in Sweden is also highly americanized, if thats a word for it… American tv, American social media, American attitudes.

Everyone realizes that going to work for a corporation as a salary slave is not the way to get rich. Its the same thing in the US with the gen z generation as we have here.

Sweden is like mini America but with enough socialism that companies cant do what they want, and people have access to laws to protect their jobs to a degree, as well as free healthcare, parental leaves and vacations.

Also public transport. But America is better for those super high salaries. They hardly exist here.

But hey, all that amazing collaboration is wonderful isnt it? I mean, when im at home, I have no idea how to collaborate. How do people do it? Do they have some tool for it? I dont know, HR just says office is the best, so it must be.
