Translation: influencers who wont say a bad thing about the product
Nah. Regular people. I am not an influencer and I got one of these emails. But I’m also not going to test their hardware for them.
I like pixel phones but I actually really really hate Gemini and I’m not buying the pixel 10. I think they’re also attempting to get people who bought their phones previously but haven’t bought one in awhile to use more of their stuff.
That’s what i thought too. I filled out the questionnaire, but I’m not interested in upgrading my 7 and definitely don’t want Gemini.
I was basically forced to upgrade to the 9 pro from the 8 when I dropped my phone about 25". I could either pay to have the shattered screen replaced or pay for a 9 pro with the discount. I immediate realized just how invasive Gemini had gotten and I miss my 8 every day. The 7 was too big for me, but it was a solid phone.
The one good thing about AI video. No reason to pay “influencers” when that content can just be (crappily) generated.
Superfans aka random influencers with a lot of subscribers on YouTube?
They’re just after big name shills like how crypto-bros used celebrity endorsement to scam people.
Remember Matt Damon’s “Fortune favors the Brave” scammercial?
So they just want MKBHD basically.
I was! Until they continuously kept making their products shittier
Thanks!

Never buying google in my life they’ve destroyed android
If they’re really super fans the feedback is literally worth nothing for making the product appeal to a wide demographic. Some people (and I know this might be a shock) are not “fans” of a company or product. They want something usable.
In the super fan club and I switched to iPhone a while ago (fyi all smartphone suck) and they won’t stop blasting and asking to ship a phone out to me. I’m just a developer in the private sector, never market their phones…. I don’t believe in manipulation and capitalism.
