I am not one to boast of my many kindnesses to strangers. I believe in evidence. I would not bore you with stories of the lives I have saved and political victories I have accomplished for the downtrodden when you don’t know me, and don’t know if I’m telling the truth. I would not expect you to believe idle bragging. Thus I showed you who I am by the actions I take right before your eyes.

Were I a more suspicious person I would point out that neither am I assured of your honesty when you bragged about your actions, but I choose to believe you did vote left just as I did, and that you give blood as you say. However, even believing what you tell me without evidence, which is by no means a kindness I would expect of you for me, I cannot help noticing that you have not joined your voice to mine in defending the downtrodden as I suggested. I hope that you are simply taking the time to draft a proper reply, as I’m sure you took when throwing stones at my house, and that your house’s walls are not made, so to speak, of glass.
