Idiots signed contracts that include minimum prisoners, and can’t live up to the deal? They deserve to be sued, and their legal counsel fired for malpractice. Who would be so foolish as to sign such a contract?

If you don’t like it, don’t use privatized prisons. They’re bad all around and the only difference is this time the consequences are on the agency with an idiot who signed a bad contract

I feel like that should have been considered an unenforceable clause in a contract, though. Although the obvious answer is for them to offer other states to take their prisoners.

If thats legal? Iirc prisoners have rights to be housed nearby where they live, to some degree, but id assume rhey can wave that. And I feel like ‘stay in the overcrowded state prison in x city or get moved to a minimally occupied one in AZ might get some takers.’
