        OpenSUSE is fantastic.

I gave Tumbleweed a few days, concluded it’s possible to do anything I might want to do on it, and then promptly went back to my Endeavour install :D.

If you’re willing to to tinker with tech and taking some extra steps, you could be open to trying Linux too.

If you need things to work easily/immediately and tech scares you, then you’re going to be self - selected out of even using Lemmy in the first place.

I literally downloaded Jerboa and have been using Lemmy ever since. That’s it. It doesn’t have to be complicated

I installed Linux and used it for a few years, still do.

I still think it’s hard to install . Or rather frustrating I should say. Nothing seems to work immediately. I remember the first time I installed it audio didn’t work and it took a few days of googling to find out the packages I was supposed to install to fix it.

User experience is about making things as frictionless as possible. Yes I love the customizability of Linux but let’s not kid ourselves it’s still to this day frustrating to set up.
