Zoomers don’t even get the false promises and propaganda of the 90s to push them along; they’re already burned out from day one.

Fair enough. I had the opposite, where foils caused irritation (even my Braun Series 7), but my Philips Norelco 9500 has been the superior shaver, all around.

I still use the One-Blade to pre-trim though, especially if the whiskers are longer.

Foils are good, but the rotary style electric shavers create the least irritation. I use one, and would recommend it. It also comes with a little cleaner base that keeps the heads disinfected and clean of hair particles.

A Phillips One-Blade will give you a decently close shave, but not razor close, but it also doesn’t cause nearly the irritation and doesn’t cut hairs below the skin.

One trick is to prep your skin with cold water, not hot or warm, which will cause the hairs to stand up, making the shave easier.

The root issue is that all of the additional productivity is captured at the top, and none of it is dispersed among the greater company. Even reinvestment is now gone, replaced with stock buybacks, which were illegal for a number of years.

In short, there’s no rising tide that lifts all boats, so debating work schedules and optimal hours is still a wasted endeavor. Labor needs an entire overhaul, or we will see a return to more drastic measures, which is the cycle that history has repeated time and again. Work, without prosperity, has no intrinsic value. Particularly when workers produce more than ever, and their efforts unmeritoriously enrich a few.
