It’s sort of like when an actually bad AAA game gets labeled by right-wing chuds as being Woke Liberal Propaganda because theres a LGBTQ+ person in it or something stupid like that, so liberals feel to start treating this game as a unfairly slandered masterpiece with a deep message. In reality it’s bog-standard corporate slop that says nothing about anything out of fear of limiting its audience (and also barely runs) but unfortunately the people pointing this out the loudest are the chuds.

And then when the game finally finishes being a flop or worse, the chuds sort it into the “Proof that Go Woke = Go Broke” portfolio and we all have to deal with that forever.

Fun thing about the money-lenders story: I’m sure you know that the money-lenders were there so jews could exchange their Greek and Roman currency for Shekels so they could buy animals to sacrifice in that temple. But since these church money-lenders were the ones in control of the currency exchange rate, they would artificially depress their own currency so these people would end up playing far more for each shekel than market rate, allowing the church to walk away with a profit. I think the desecration caused by the animals and the foot traffic was less offensive than the church fleecing their own flock. I wonder how He would feel about prosperity gospel megachurches?

Thats a thing about how peertube federates. They prefer to be relatively conservative with sending out their federation feelers, so by default they aren’t looking for content on other servers. Idk the details of how federation works so I am probably at least a little wrong, so don’t take my word as law

I keep hearing about revanced, but I never end up checking it out because there’s always another option. I used to use Invidious for everything, then I used Newpipe for everything, and now I use Grayjay for everything. I have faith that if Revanced goes down, there will be another Revanced in days.
