Apps still need mic permissions to do so. Many Android ROMs include notices when the mic is being used, it would be very easy to tell if an app was actually doing this.

I didn’t know that case could fit that many drives! I’m a fan of Fractal Designs cases, have used and recommended them for a few gaming PCs before. Thanks for the recommendation!
Its not hard to copy your aliases to other machines. All my machines run NixOS, so they all have my home manager config. I would assume you could easily copy shell configs with tools like ansible as well. For aliases it’s as simple as copying your .bashrc over.
At my last job where I was regularly doing this, every user had a home directory that would be mounted onto any server we accessed, so all of us could have whatever shell customizations we’d like.
Pretty sure they were saying the experience of playing games on Linux is fantastic, not referring to GamingOnLinux. You seem a little obsessed.
I hadn’t really looked into SAS drives, but that sounds like a great option. $5/TB is awesome!
I wasn’t aware of these! I’ll need to check when I have a chance, but I’m fairly sure there’s an open slot, thanks!
That’s a great suggestion, thank you! I looked at a few cases with more drive space but didn’t see any this inexpensive.
Yep, according to Wikipedia they finished the transfer in September 2022. Completely agreed, I don’t interact with anything crypto related, just glad to see it not destroying the environment and raising hardware prices.
I’m not saying nor do I believe crypto is the future, but this project seems to use Etherium and Solana, both of which are proof of stake and will not be using huge amounts of power.
It also now has global hotkeys on Wayland!
Tends to depend on the headset you own, some work perfectly. Also, Valve is very likely releasing a headset based on SteamOS, which should help.
I’d argue dedicating your personality to hating something is much weirder than being a fanboy of it, especially when that thing is a piece of technology nobody is forcing you to use.
EndeavourOS has a large community, you’ll find plenty of help there while having an easier install and first time setup.
Completely depends on the accessories, and an nvidia GPU is unlikely to have a major impact, I’ve used one for VR before. What are slimes?
