It’s usually the storage costs that will get you if you store large files with GitLFS. Otherwise it’s fairly light with the git repos and container image version persistence.
If you do plan on storing containers, you might want to enable the container purge.
GitLab SaaS and CE (self hosted) are both good options. Self hosted would obviously rely on whatever your server can do. SaaS has been very consistent. I mostly enjoy it for the CI/CD that is provides.

1·1 month agoLocalizations are used to convert between different languages. Just having a country code inside a header doesn’t give enough context where you are. For example states/provinces and their respective cities. Most of that is easily collected from the GeoIP information to give you local results for your area.
Edit: here’s an example of one of the bigger GeoIP APIs that provides the data so you can see the example for your own IP
Accept-Languageis usually used for localizations. The 2 main ways that are used to gather location information are the location permissions and IP’s.The reason IPs are used primarily is they don’t need user consent since it’s being sent to the server. It allows an easy way to determine a close enough location for search results since it can get down to a metroplex or city.
