    It’s cool tech, but I don’t see people putting on glasses to access it. It’s more in the “neat” category as opposed to “must have”.

      As someone who already wears glasses, and who so badly wanted to pull the trigger on Google Glass a decade ago, I’ve been watching this space for a couple years and I might do it this time around. Just as long as it’s not insanely priced. And no subscription bullshit.

        I doubt the Gemini model is going to be running locally so something is going to have to pay for that. It’ll either be subscription or ads.

        I was with you back in the day, but they way the world and these companies have shifted over the last decade in how they operate just makes this an instant no-no for me. I wish it wasn’t the case because we could have nice things if the system didn’t require them to profit-maximize.

        Yep, I already wear glasses, would be awesome to have info projected inside them. Notifications from my calendar, for example. Reminders to take a med, an unobtrusive clock, results from a search, etc.

        I just don’t trust any of these companies to not use this tech to glean yet more data from me.
