Oblivion has been giving me issues all day and crashing, so i ended up just going to play Minecraft Xbox 360 edition instead. I found one of the old desert temples that use wool instead of clay. It makes me nostalgic. It made me realize nostalgia is also a hell of a drug lol. When i was younger i’d kill to get the latest updates on console with all the cool new things like horses and guardians. Now here i am going back to the version i started with. It’s just ironic to think about is all.

With my luck the Temple was right next too a Village with a blacksmith too, which allowed me to get the iron pick in the screenshot above. Overall a sick setup.

My first night fell and i found a village in some plains nearby. I camped out in this house full of villagers and got surprised by a zombie because i forgot they could break doors on easy in this version. I put a block down in front of the door and we all hunkered down.

I ended up finding a jungle and built a tree house there. I haven’t done a good tree house in a long while so i figured why not. If you look closely you’ll notice i placed a block on the stairs. That’s because for some reason skeletons kept coming up and nearly killing me. It ended up being a waste of time though because a spider got me instead.

Luckily i was able to get my stuff back and even got back with some wool for a bed. I lost all my logs though so i’ll need to gather some more to keep working on my treehouse. Right now it’s… something alright.

It’s on my list of things to do. I need to get coal first though. I don’t want to deforest my whole world just for charcoal. My priorities have been a bit whack

Oh wow, Xbox 360 Minecraft. That just unlocked some childhood memories. I no longer have a 360, or I’d gladly be playing it too. I guess I could look into emulators instead.

I vaguely remember seeing mods for Java edition that exist to bring old nostalgic Minecraft elements like the whole Xbox 360 UI and the old janky ass world gen to modern versions. I really ought to look into them at some point.

Xenia runs the whole thing well for emulation. I was able to get Wii U edition to run smoothly on low end hardware, but Xenia and RPCS3 to emulate it has only really worked well on my mid tier desktop. I’ve heard of the modpack you’re talking about but have never gotten around to trying it unfortunately. Everytime i think about it something comes up lol

Anyone remember the flying/gliding game that was briefly on the 360 version around 2017? I’d love to play that again if anyone knows how.

Xenia/RPCS3/Cemu can be used to emulate the old console editions. You just need a update with a new enough version fore the minigames. Alternatively i believe the PS3 edition still has the servers up for multiplayer (RPCS3 has their own servers too but idk if those do battle minigames). i’d assume the Xbox one edition’s servers are still up too
