I used all 3 for a few years a short time ago until I traded my aging MacBook for a newer iPad Pro. I still think about going back but for a Mac Mini on the side of my gaming PC.

But then I feel like it’s more of a gimmick. It’s that feeling I get to just spend for the sake of spending to get something new and shiny, not necessarily because I need or would actually use it for anything I don’t use the others for. I didn’t do much different on there. It was nice for some situations when the other computers (let’s be honest, it was always the Windows PC) would act up like fixing a bad partition.

But now I am good enough with Windows and Linux. Doing my best to move solely to Linux, but VR and work keep me back. Ugh…

Aha yeah I love linux, use it a lot, like my headless raspian lite omv jellyfin server, but my lenovo x1 tablet is windows 11 because i am terrified of configuring it in any distro. It’s OK it’s. Not great but it does what I want it to do. Mac is just too bourgeoisie for me.

OSX always felt like paying a premium for a rather clunky window manager and a non-standard OS layout.

It kinda requires a different mindset. Mac OS has from the start been about piling smaller windows on top of each other. It’s much more obvious if you go back to classic Mac OS, they’ve kinda capitulated in recent years giving you more snapping options.

Right? I don’t feel there has been anything I could do with a Mac that I can’t do elsewhere for way less of a premium for a long time now. Maybe early on they were better at art creative stuff but now? Naw

I loved using Linux, but I prefer and use MacOS for everyday productivity. Can’t afford losing time tinkering with the OS, too much of a temptation…
