YouTube auto-dubbing: Robotic translation annoys users and cannot be turned off

YouTube relies on an automatic feature that translates foreign-language videos poorly into German. Even premium payers cannot turn it off permanently.

    They seem to be aggressively pushing this now, I’ve started getting auto-dubbed non-English videos in my recommendations in the last week

      Same. It’s getting stupid, especially since a lot of people (myself included) have a native language that isn’t English. It’s very annoying finding this when you were looking forward to listening in a different language. It’s also annoying when you prefer to hear a human voice and read subtitles too.

      Next thing you know they’ll be dubbing songs too because why not

    As far as I can tell on Newpipe you can select the audio language track between dubbed, not dubbed. (Not sure if it’s usercreated audio tracks only or includes the ai ones too).
